HAPPY NIU YEAR!!!
The start of the new chinese calendar year marks the start of Ah boy's school term. And yess~! He is attending school for the 1st time in his life.. The Toddler Class!
He started sch on the 4th day of the lunar calendar.. i.e. 29/1/09. Dad drove me n him to school at 7.45am! Well, that will be the future timing where he will reach sch as v nid to rush to work after dropping him at sch.
His 1st impression of school is quite fun. He has to wash his hands upon reaching sch. Follow by a hearty breakfast. He had tuna wif wholemeal bread on day 1, and corn flakes, koko cruch, honey star mixture on day 2. 1st time c him finish his breakfast w/o vomitting out!
He have lots of toys to play, storybooks to read, friends to play with, videos to watch.. but thru out the 2days, he's pretty sticky to me. Wen i sneak out for breakfast, he will start to cry upon spotting me at the window.
Lunch was quite ok for him. Day 1 has rice covered wif vegetables & fish soup. Day 2 was fried beehoon. In fact, day 2 was a CNY celebration where other students' parents came to join in the celebrations. So we had 2 games together follow by lunch celebrations.
He has tried out the bathing at the CCC. And he doesnt seems to be afraid. He quite like the mini-toilet bowl & the mini-basin where the height is within his reach.
School curriculum starts on monday, 2/2/09. And since it's the 3rd day, parents are not allow to enter the classroom. We try peek in a little bit, and saw lot of kids crying. Hb say he spotted ah boy wif red eyes, but has stop crying. Wen we pick him up at half day, after his bath, he seems to be recovering fr a bad cry. Oh.. pitiful ah boy. But wat to do? He has to learn to cope wif the new environment..
Ave period for him to adapt the school is 2wks.. so happy crying.. my lovely boy!
