What if you cant get wat u wan?

Guess wat ah boy reaction when he cant achieve wat he wanted?

Well... he will pretend to cry and LIE DOWN FLAT on the FLOOR! I have totally no idea who taught him that! Or where he learn from? That's a very extreme bad behaviour!

Take for eg: Ytd wen i came to fetch him from MIL hse. FIL play with ah boy by not passing him the door keys to open the gate for me. As ah boy is too short to reach for the keys, he pretend to cry and immediately lie on the floor to roll... Wat kind of behaviour is tis? It's not the 1st time. I catch him a few times this week! He juz simply lie down, whether it's in the kitchen, toilet or at the door step! Hopeless!

Oh my goodness!?! He havent even attend school and is already learning all these bad habits! I have not really wacked him yet. But i sure i will do so if i catch him doing the lie-down-on-the-floor action with his fake crying again! I'm totally pissed off with him now!

Melamine

Recently, the news and the whole world has been panicking over the incident of Melamine that was found in the milk produced from China. A lot of babies were affected with kidney stones that results in a few dead and seriously ill babies.

Singapore AVA has stepped up the inspection of the products imported into Singapore from China and other countries to detect Melamine. It was found that the following products contains Melamine:
  1. Yi Li Choice Dairy Fruit Bar Yogurt Flavoured Ice Confection
  2. Dutch Lady Strawberry Flavoured Milk
  3. White Rabbit Creamy Candy
  4. Dutch Lady Banana Flavoured Milk
  5. Dutch Lady Honeydew Flavoured Milk
  6. Silang - House of Steamed Potato - Potato Cracker
  7. 徐 福 记 Puffed Rice Rolls - Butter Corn Flavour
  8. 徐 福 记 Puffed Rice Rolls - Cheese Flavour

And do u know wat? I actually bought item no. 8 from China in May specially for my son to eat! Damn it. I bringing harm to ah boy! Well, i noe he din finish the whole pkt, neither did he consume them everyday, but i still indirectly 'poison' my son, hb n myself too. Hai.. Next time i will tink TWRICE before gtg China products!

For more info on these products from the AVA, click here.

Anyway, I'm glad my baby milk is safe. They have send me a sms and email to confirm that their ingredients are free from melamine. Below is an email from Mead Johnson:

I feel very sad for those china babies. As babies main staple food is milk, so imagine drinking poison daily to slowly torture oneself is very cruel lor. And they cant even tell it's poisonous or not. Nowadays, the older generations always say the babies, kids are gtg smarter than our batch when we are young. They say the milk contains more nutrients that speed up the kids' growing up stage. I do hope the 'more' nutrients are safe and suitable for them. I don mind they learn things slow.. as long as they r healthy, live happily, that will be a much better life than grow up fast, and suffer n die fast?

Now, let's hope they catch and hang all the culprits who inserted melamine into milk or food product. And also hope that someone will invert the medicine to cure the kidney stones in babies fast fast!

Rashes, Allergy or HFM disease?

Wen i changed ah boy's diaper last nite before he slp, i suddenly spotted red patches ard his hands, legs n body! Red patches tt look like rashes, red dots on his skins.. Hb called up Mil to check if she spotted anyting during day time. Was told she say a bit.. n it spread to even more by nite time. Apply some "Snake-powder", tink shd be talcum powder to stop his itchiness. Lucky he din scratch much.

Wanted to bring him to c a doctor, but in the end, i still landed up at work now. Hb will bring him to visit a doctor after work. Hopefully he will recover more.. if not, i gotta skip the wedding dinner tonite.

He most likely contacted 1 of the sickness:

Heat Rashes. These few days, the weather is stupidly hot like crazy! Although it rains on sun nite, but the rest of the day sucks. I try switched on the aircon on sun nite, but tink the aircon is not working, n producing hot air only. It was after an hr tt i switched off n open the window. So was ah boy stuffed by heat? During the heavy rain, i closed all the windows and has it reduced the circulation of airflow in the room?

HFM Disease. Brought ah boy out to our hse playground and a super huge playground at pasir ris park on sat. Has he contacted with some sick-children? But chances r low, as he din developed any fever, uclers or poor appetite, which r symptoms to the dangerous disease.

Allergy. MIL say ah boy's skin is soft n sensitive, so he maybe allergy to some foods. I had seafood pasta n baked rice for sat. Gave him only the pasta, rice & fish only. No prawn, no sotong as he cant chew them yet. Sun, all he took his usual home-prepared porridge. Mon, MIL say she aso gave him porridge wif fish only. Not the 1st time he took them. So wat is he allergy to???

Hai.. pray he recover fast fast..

Pregnant Again?

Me? No lah.. where got so fast? I din put on much weight recently despite eating lotx of mooncake.. Haha~!

Well, i have heard news abt my cousins n hb's friends who r preggie. 1 has juz gave birth to a Gal. Congras to Peiling! Another cousin, Lindy is preggie for 4mths. Congras also!

Wat prompt me to write tis post is actually abt others couples who r becoming a 2nd time parents! I actually know of 2 couples whose wifes r preggie again! These couples have previously married becoz of shot-gun. They do not own a individual hse and is living off their parents' hse. I heard of conflicts from them with their in-laws.

1 couple wan to get a rented property fr HDB n got rejected. Till now, they have not even settle on their housing problem, n pop out another baby?

The other couples have unstable jobs, who i tink are relying on their parents to feed them n their kid, n still dare to pop another baby?

I understand govt is encourgaging more newborns... but govt is only helping u wif a small % of expenses. If u tink tt $3k is sufficient to support ur newborns till he grows up n work, den u r wrong! It's impt to have sufficient planning b4 u start to produce a baby. It involves money, time, a mature thinking parents and many others baa baa baa to bring up a baby. Y give birth to a baby, only to throw to ur parents to look after while u enjoy n play like a kid?

Eventually u will grow old one day when ur kids grow up, do u wan to be struck in the same scenario where ur kids go ard producing many off-springs n throwing them to u to take care, u have to support both ur kids n grandchildren in terms of money n time! U get to enjoy now.. but u will work urself to death wen u grow old! So start thinking! Grow up, kiddies! If u cant afford a hse, cant stand quarreling wif ur in-laws, cant find a stable job, den STOP producing babies for the sake of FUN!

Childcare
Last fri, i took a half-day leave to visit the childcare centre below my MIL's hse. Quite a nice environment, and the grp is quite small. Most imptly, after the govt subsidiaries, it only costs $250+GST!!! Imagine i paying more dan 2x of this figures to my MIL every mth EXcluding hsehold expenses! I was complaining to my hb tt since govt is giving this $300 subsidies to WORKING MOTHER only. And as a working mother, i shd be entitled to tis subsidies. Since he prefer his own mum to take care of ah boy, then we shd pay lesser amt to his mum. His mum say the mthly child care fees is based on mkt rates. Now the mkt rate is less dan $300!

Arrrh!!
